# Funcionamiento de vatp por websocket

Uno de los puntos más importantes de las aplicaciones Velneo web es que se hay una nueva versión del protocolo [VATP](/31/velneo-vserver/funcionalidades/protocolo-vatp.md) basada en [WebSocket](https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebSocket). 

En las versiones de escritorio todo el tráfico de comunicación entre los clientes y el servidor viajan por TCP.
